My Story
For weeks, Ada’s behavior had changed. She didn’t seem like herself and was tired all the time. Her mom noticed that she was extremely pale and decided to bring her to her pediatrician. Hours later, they were sent to an ER 1.5 hours away from them.
On December 13, 2025, Ada’s parents heard the words no parents ever want to hear: “Your child has cancer.”
Ada went from being an active little two-year-old who took weekly trips to her local library, gymnastics, and ballet to not being able to play with the toys she got for Christmas because the medications and chemotherapy she was receiving had weakened her.
The doctors found that her bone marrow was 97% full of leukemia cells, and she was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. We started treatment immediately.
Ada has been through so much already—surgery, lumbar punctures, countless pokes, several transfusions, and more.
She continues to amaze us every day and is our little princess. 💛🎗️
