Seth Cantu

My Story

Seth was born on November 23, 2022, and from the very beginning, he brought a special kind of joy into our family. As the youngest of four children, he was welcomed by three big sisters who absolutely adore him. He quickly became the little brother who filled our home with laughter, curiosity, and his own unique personality.

Before cancer became part of our story, Seth was already teaching us that every child’s journey looks different. He has always experienced the world in his own way. Seth has had delays with speech and communication, and we are currently exploring the possibility of autism. While those challenges have brought their own uncertainties, they have also taught us to celebrate every milestone, every new skill, and every step forward—no matter how big or small.

Seth has shown us that progress doesn’t have to follow a timeline to be meaningful.

Then, on February 17, 2025, our lives changed forever when Seth was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) at just 2 years old.

There are no words to describe the moment you hear that your child has cancer. The days that followed brought a world we never expected to enter—chemotherapy, medications, hospital stays, fevers, blood counts, and learning how to navigate a journey we never imagined we would face.

But through it all, Seth has continued to amaze us.

He has faced every challenge with a strength that is far beyond his years. He has endured treatments, scary moments, and hospital visits while still finding ways to smile, play, learn, and be the happy little boy he is.

He continues to remind us that even in the hardest seasons, there can still be joy.

Seth’s journey has taught us what true advocacy means. It means knowing your child, noticing the little things, asking questions, speaking up, and making sure his needs are seen and heard.
